Piggyback Rides

This guy gave the BEST piggyback rides! He was also the guy that spent countless hours on the range tee and golf course with me. As much as I would lean on him to help me get better, there came a point where he couldn’t do it for me.  Often, our students will say that they do “IT” so well when we are around, but fall apart when they go to play or practice on their own. They are essentially getting a piggyback ride from us. They feed off of our energy and we program the thoughts for them and there is momentary SUCCESS! And this is all well and good, but eventually the player wants to say that THEY did it on their own. This lack of success often causes a downward spiral in confidence and motivation. And before you know it, the student is grasping at straws on You Tube or tries a different instructor, thinking that avoiding inner change and growth is the answer. Fall Golf Can Be the Best Golf

We love fall golf around here! Not only are the colors and temperatures great, but it is time to reflect on the past golf season and where we want to go in the next year. If you haven't noticed, Larry and I often take our cues from Mother Nature. Fall is a time of bringing our resources closer to our heart. Trees pull their nutrients out of their leaves and bring them back to the trunk and limbs so that they can prepare for winter.  Our wild animals prepare their shelters, nests, and holes by collecting food, leaves and coverings for warmth and protection. We aeriate the golf course and give her seed and nutrients to make it through another winter; almost an offering and thanksgiving to her for another great season and for allowing us to share our space with our Golf Ranch community. Personally, we are trying to sleep more, eat better and ponder what we want for next season.  We walk the golf course almost every morning with the dogs and gain inspiration for our aspirations o...
